ABOUT

Hi, I'm Dr. Laurna Champ, a licensed marriage and family therapist trained in psychotherapy and family systems. As a therapist, I am licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional difficulties. For the last 35 years, I have worked with individuals and families to help them identify and manage issues that most people encounter at some point in their life; issues such as anxiousness, sadness, depression, anger, mood swings, child-parent problems or relationship turmoil. Taking a holistic approach to health care, my primary concern is with the overall, long-term well-being of individuals and their families.
My counseling style is positive, interactive and concrete. I believe in helping you create a strong foundation for continued social emotional growth of self and relationships. The goal of my services is for you (and/or family members) to build feelings of balance, strength, empowerment and calmness.
Until recently, I maintained an office in which I saw clients. At the present time, I only provide services online by telephone or secure video.

RATES & INSURANCE
Rates
My current fee for a 50-60 minute session is $100. Shorter sessions are prorated based upon this amount.
Insurance
I am currently a provider for Aetna, HealthChoice, and United Behavioral Health. I also have an EAP contract with ComPsych. If you have a different insurance carrier, they may consider me an out-of-network provider and therefore only pay a portion, if any, of the fees. To find out, contact your insurance carrier and ask the following questions:
-
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
-
What is my deductible and has it been met?
-
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
-
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
-
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
-
Can I be reimbursed for services by a non-participating provider?
Payment
My office staff will file insurance claims to the companies listed above. You will be responsible for paying the co-pay and any deductible. Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted for payment. Payment is due at the time service is provided.
